GTM Director

Powerdot · Portugal

IT - Network / Systems / DB AdminExternal listingfull-timeabout 2 hours ago

About The Role

Charging your car should feel as natural as charging your phone. That's the future we're building: a network of EV chargers where life happens. We don't just install chargers.

We accelerate sustainable mobility. We obsess over partnerships. We grow relentlessly: our network, our partners, ourselves. If you're here, you're probably not looking for "just a job." Neither are we. We're driven by impact, and always looking for people who thrive on turning bold ideas into reality. If that sounds like you, you'll feel at home here. We're looking for people who see challenges as puzzles, not problems, thrive in fast-growing, high-energy environments, and want to shape the future of mobility, not just watch it unfold.

At Powerdot, you'll get freedom, ownership, and responsibility. The space to experiment. The chance to scale your ideas. And a team that's always pushing the edge of what's possible.

Role we’re looking for: GTM Director

Languages: Fluent English

Location: Portugal

Seniority: 10+ years of relevant experience, including ownership of a cross-functional business area, market, category or portfolio

Your manager: @Afonso Ramos

Why This Role, Why Now?

As Powerdot grows, we are looking for a hands-on, Director-level GM-type operator who can run our go-to-market portfolio as one connected business system. You will work across partnerships, growth, operations and analytics, strengthening what already works and building repeatable paths to new revenue. This is not a traditional sales leadership role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable running several interconnected functions and moving between strategy, operating decisions and execution.

How You’ll Shape Our Story

  • Own the strategy and performance of Powerdot’s go-to-market portfolio across markets and partnership channels.
  • Run several interconnected GTM workstreams across partnerships, growth, revenue operations, analytics and local execution.
  • Set clear priorities, allocate resources and lead a multidisciplinary team through a disciplined operating rhythm that connects strategy with execution.
  • Own business performance through a profit-and-loss and margin lens, using data to decide where to invest, scale or stop.
  • Identify and test new growth opportunities, proving their potential before committing significant resources.
  • Step into critical partner discussions when needed while keeping the role focused on the performance of the overall GTM system.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance and local market teams to turn opportunities into measurable results.

What Makes You a Great Fit

You are a hands-on GM-type operator who has owned several functions, a market, a category or a business line, not only one function in depth.

You have worked in a high-growth marketplace, on-demand platform or another similarly complex and fast-moving business. Your experience may include roles such as General Manager, Category Director, Head of Revenue Expansion, Head of SMB, Head of Revenue Operations or an equivalent role with comparable cross-functional scope.

You have run several interconnected areas at the same time, such as partnerships, growth, operations, analytics and commercial performance.

If your leadership experience has been primarily focused on running quota-carrying sales teams, without broader cross-functional ownership, this role will not be the right fit.

You have owned a P&L or margin line and are comfortable making investment and prioritisation decisions.

You combine strategic depth with a strong bias for execution and remain close enough to the work to understand what is happening.

You understand partner-led distribution models where another company owns the end-customer relationship, and you communicate clearly with senior stakeholders to create alignment around difficult trade-offs.

Also Valuable

  • Experience in EV charging, mobility, energy or another infrastructure-and-partnerships business.
  • Experience introducing a management layer and scalable operating processes into a growing team.

The Kind of Energy We're Looking For

  • We're not into titles, egos, or corporate buzzwords. We're into people who make things happen.
  • You lead and listen. Whether you're steering the ship or rowing alongside the crew, you bring others with you and keep communication wide open.
  • You own your stuff. You don't wait for instructions: you see an opportunity, grab it, and make it better than anyone expected.
  • You've got a green heartbeat. Sustainability isn't just cool, it's core. You care about doing work that leaves the world a little better than you found it.
  • You balance hustle with humanity. You love the buzz of in-person teamwork, but you also know when to recharge (pun totally intended 🔋).
  • You grow on purpose. You're hungry to learn, to stretch, and to build something meaningful, not just rack up LinkedIn bullet points.
  • How you'll be Powered up?
  • 🏥 Private health insurance coverage
  • 💪🏼 Gym membership to help you stay active
  • ⏰ Flexible working hours: you own your time
  • 🌍 Annual offsite where we celebrate the year's achievements and spend quality time together (last year we went to the Algarve, Portugal!)
  • 🤝🏼 Regular team-building events with your local teammates
  • 📚 English Training as English is our language used to connect with all markets and teams
  • 🍩 Free office snacks and unlimited coffee & Meal allowance for every worked day
  • ⚡️ Special discounts for charging your electric vehicle

Our Promise To You

The best solutions come from different voices. We're building a culture where inclusion, respect, and equal opportunity aren't policies, they're lived every day. At Powerdot, everyone has the space to speak up, challenge the status quo, and make a difference. At Powerdot, your voice powers the future, literally.
