About The Role

Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand design and specifications Calculate and confirm dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers Plan the sequence of machining steps necessary for job completion and estimate required time accurately Select, set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools to perform precision machining operations Adjust feeds and speeds effectively according to the material being machined Design and fabricate jigs, tooling, and templates to facilitate machining of complex parts and maintain inventory of these items Perform additional machining tasks including cutting, heat-treating, polishing, filing, grinding, and drilling as needed Maintain logs of requested work and keep accurate records of completed tasks including timesheets Manage workload to balance multiple long-lead projects alongside daily short-term requests
