About The Role

Position Reports to: Area Head-Enterprise Service & Support Division: Design and Enabling Location : Head Office Pretoria Advert Closing Date : 06 September 2026 About the Position SARS is looking for a suitably experienced and results-driven SAP Workflow professional, preferably within an SAP HCM environment, with strong analytical ability, sound judgement and a commitment to service excellence. The successful candidate will administer and enhance SAP Workflow solutions, support system changes and testing initiatives, and contribute to the continuous improvement of business systems and service delivery in support of SARS strategic objectives. Job Purpose To provide expertise, advice and support to deliver on operational implementation plans and / or associated service delivery processes, by maintaining SAP Workflows, new initiatives, monitoring, measuring and meeting the SAP Workflow criteria, in order to continuously enhance service delivery. Education and Experience Minimum Qualification & Experience Required National Diploma / Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in Information Technology AND 2-3 years' experience in a SAP HCM environment, of which 1–2 years at knowledge worker level. ALTERNATIVE # A Senior Certificate (NQF 4); AND 5 years’ experience in a SAP HCM environment, of which 1–2 years at knowledge worker level. Job Outputs: Process Administer and maintain all SAP workflow queues. Be informed on related acts and regulations that might impact on own work. Accumulate information and provide reports with recommendations applicable to area of specialisation. Apply practical and applied knowledge and act authoritatively on methods, systems and procedures to identify trends and potential risks. Communication of situational interpretation and judgement of work outputs and queries in area of specialisation. Correctly apply policies, practices, standards, procedures and legislation in the delivery of work outputs. Effectively plan and schedule own activities to continuously improve quality and service delivery in area of specialisation. Execute process and procedural change, implement the change and provide guidelines and support related to new requirements as a result of the change. Provide specialist input through the investigation of opportunities for operational and process, product and risk optimisation. Use practical and applied knowledge and situational judgement to arrive at decisions. As part of the team compile Business Requirements Specifications and prioritise production system change request/s. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers and SARS role players to achieve predefined objectives. Gather, plan and manage data for testing purposes. Provide End-user education and training. Replication of defect in testing environment and finding suitable workaround. Governance Comply to set governance and compliance procedures and processes related to an area of specialisation and continuously identify and escalate risks. People Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers and team members to achieve predefined objectives.
