At <Kogan.com>, we're looking for an Online Merchandising Lead to own the workflows, standards, and execution of our Merchandising team — ensuring products are discoverable, promotions are well signposted, and navigation delivers a great experience across <Kogan.com> and our subsidiary sites.
This role manages merchandising execution end to end, balancing BAU with major projects and seasonal campaigns, and acts as the go-to authority for best practice, process, and cross-functional problem-solving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
In this role you'll be responsible for
- Own the end-to-end merchandising workflow, prioritising BAU, projects, and seasonal needs against commercial goals and deadlines.
- Build and refine best-practice standards, auditing frameworks, and dashboards to monitor navigation, search, and promotional effectiveness.
- Act as the escalation point for workflow blockers, ambiguous requests, and competing priorities across the business.
- Report on merchandising performance and KPIs, analysing engagement metrics (CTR, bounce rate, search performance) to recommend course corrections.
- Lead the merchandising roadmap, cascading priorities and driving structured communication to resolve systemic issues.
- Act as the central liaison with Purchasing, Marketplace, and Engineering, leading discussions on solutions, enhancements, and prioritisation.
- Mentor and guide the Merchandising team, scaling best practice and acting as the subject matter authority on complex issues.
To be successful in this role, you should be
Degree qualified in Marketing, Business, eCommerce, or a related field.
Proven experience leading merchandising, content, or digital trading workflows, ideally within Retail or eCommerce.
Strong analytical skills, with confidence turning data and dashboards into clear recommendations.
A solid understanding of site navigation, search, and customer journey principles in an eCommerce context.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable providing structured updates and leading discussions across teams.
A proactive team leader with experience mentoring others while staying close to day-to-day execution.
Highly organised, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
