JD & Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to support software asset governance, vendor and contract management, licensing compliance, and cost optimization across the organization. The role involves working closely with IT, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to manage software assets, ensure compliance, support audits, and drive operational efficiencies. Job Position Title: Senior Associate_Software Asset Management_Digital Integration_Advisory_Kolkata Responsibilities • Manage software vendors, renewals, escalations, and stakeholder communications • Support contract lifecycle management including renewals, amendments, and documentation • Track software entitlements, licensing agreements, renewal schedules, and compliance requirements • Maintain accurate records in SAM, ITAM, CMDB, and contract management systems • Reconcile software usage against entitlements and identify compliance risks or optimization opportunities • Support internal and external software licensing audits and compliance reviews • Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and IT teams on vendor and licensing matters • Generate reports on license utilization, compliance status, renewals, and cost optimization initiatives • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and data quality enhancements Mandatory Skill Sets • 4+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Vendor Management, IT Procurement, or Contract Management • Understanding of software licensing models, entitlement management, contract terms, and compliance requirements • Experience managing software vendors and software asset lifecycle processes • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities, renewals, and governance activities effectively • Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skill Sets • Experience with ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Snow Software, or similar SAM platforms • Exposure to software licensing programs such as Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, SAP, and SaaS subscription models • Certification or training in SAM, ITAM, IT Service Management, Procurement, or Contract Management • Experience working in a global or multi-territory environment • Knowledge of software compliance audits, cost optimization, and governance practices Years of Experience Required 3+ Years Education Qualification B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree from a reputed institution/university as per hiring norms .
