AI Application Developer (Backend Focus) The role offers an opportunity to work on real-world AI products, scalable backend systems, and intelligent workflows while learning from experienced engineers in a fast-paced fintech environment. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and scalable application components. • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and scalable production-grade code. • Develop and support microservices and backend workflows. • Integrate LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar AI services into applications. • Assist in building and improving AI workflows, automation pipelines, and lightweight AI agents. • Work with databases, caching layers, and third-party APIs to support backend services. • Debug production issues and improve backend performance, reliability, and scalability. • Use AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and similar platforms to improve development efficiency. • Collaborate with senior engineers and participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and best engineering practices. • Continuously learn and experiment with emerging AI and backend technologies. Minimum Qualifications • 1–3 years of software development experience. • Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Python or Java. • Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend development fundamentals. • Basic understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts. • Familiarity with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. • Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and how AI APIs work. • High-level understanding of AI agents, workflows, and automation concepts. • Exposure to AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools. • Strong willingness to learn, experiment, and grow in AI and backend engineering domains. Preferred Qualifications • Understanding of asynchronous processing, queues, and event-driven systems. • Contributions to GitHub projects, side projects, internships, or open-source initiatives. • Experience using AI coding tools regularly in development workflows. • Participation in coding contests or strong data structures and algorithms fundamentals. • Familiarity with cloud platforms, deployment workflows, or containerized applications is a plus.
