Excavation Supervisor (Ganger)

· Supervision and leadership of the excavation and reinstatement works team in the delivery of underground cable laying and duct work.· Management of on-site Health & Safety matters · The post holder carries out the day-to-day running of the excavation and reinstatement works team and will be required to deal with any matters that may impede workflow and achieving daily delivery targets.· The role must deal impartially with minor personnel problems and infringements as they arise. This role is a key liaison person for other sections to obtain services from the section including the work scheduling function. Work is carried out in a variety of environments including on the public roadways and in all weather conditions and reasonable fitness is required for on-site work and the carrying of heavy equipment.
