About The Role

The Product Portfolio Head is accountable for the end-to-end development and management of assigned product portfolios across HMO, Clinics, and Insurance, from ideation and design through implementation, launch, and post-launch performance management. The role is responsible for ensuring that product outcomes are commercially viable, market-acceptable, and aligned with customer demand, competitive positioning, and portfolio objectives. The Product Portfolio Head owns product success in-market and leads Product Leads in delivering scalable, compliant, and profitable products aligned with MaxiGroup strategy. Own the end-to-end product portfolio across HMO, Clinics, and Insurance, accountable for strategy, roadmap, lifecycle management, and in-market performance. Define and execute the portfolio roadmap, aligned with Group growth priorities, customer segments, and financial objectives. Make portfolio-level prioritization decisions, balancing speed, scale, risk, and return across initiatives. Lead product ideation and design grounded in customer insights, market research, competitive analysis, and demand signals. Ensure product concepts, benefit structures, and positioning are customer-relevant, differentiated, and commercially sound. Ensure that Value-Added Services (VAS) propositions are intentionally embedded into the overall product design, benefit structure, and customer journey of each assigned product portfolio. Align VAS integration with portfolio strategy, customer needs, and commercial objectives, ensuring VAS enhances product value, differentiation, and lifecycle engagement. Validate product-market fit and value proposition prior to launch and scaling decisions. Own accountability for commercial success and profitability performance of products post-launch. Validate that pricing outcomes are supported by market research, customer willingness-to-pay, competitive benchmarks, and channel economics. Exercise authority to challenge, refine, or escalate pricing and commercial assumptions where market evidence indicates risk to adoption, competitiveness, or portfolio performance. Drive corrective actions where pricing, positioning, or structure does not deliver intended outcomes. Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from approved concept through system configuration, UAT, launch readiness, and rollout. Ensure products are operationally executable and fully integrated across systems, channels, and processes. Partner with Technology, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to ensure delivery quality and launch readiness. Oversee completion of regulatory submissions and approvals, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and standards Ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks, approval processes, and documentation requirements. Maintain audit-ready documentation across the full product lifecycle. Establish and track portfolio KPIs, including uptake, profitability, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency. Review post-launch performance and initiate enhancements, repositioning, pricing reviews, or product rationalization as required. Use data and insights to continuously optimize portfolio performance and sustainability. Act as the primary product counterpart to internal stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, and Governance Committees. Collaborate with external partners and vendors supporting product delivery and innovation. Ensure shared understanding of product intent, performance, and priorities across stakeholders. Lead, coach, and manage Product Leads, Product Officers and Product Analysts responsible for individual products or sub-portfolios. Set clear expectations on ownership, delivery discipline, and performance accountability. Build a strong product culture grounded in customer focus, commercial rigor, and execution excellence. Desired Skills and Competencies Deep expertise in product strategy, product management, and end-to-end product delivery Strong commercial and market acumen with the ability to assess profitability drivers and demand dynamics Highly analytical with strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across regulated environments Strong executive presence, stakeholder management, and communication skills Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution People leadership, coaching, and capability-building strength Professional Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or other relevant disciplines At least 10 years of experience in life insurance, healthcare, financial services, or related industries, with strong exposure to product development, monitoring, or analytics Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end product portfolios and in-market performance Proven track record leading product teams and engaging senior stakeholders Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with data analytics tools, monitoring platforms, and quality management systems Working knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills
