Live Well. Role Overview The Controller oversees the accounting function and financial close for EVEXIAS Medical Centers and affiliated entities. This hands-on leadership role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and GAAP-compliance of general ledgers across multiple legal entities. You will apply forensic accounting techniques to safeguard financial data, identify cost-containment opportunities, and partner with the CFO to support organizational growth. Key Responsibilities Own the general ledger and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across all assigned entities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Manage multi-entity accounting, including intercompany transactions, eliminations, and the onboarding of new entities. Produce accurate consolidated financial statements, variance analysis, and reporting packages to support budgeting and forecasting. Perform forensic reviews to trace funds, detect discrepancies, and prevent irregularities while maintaining audit-ready documentation. Analyze financial performance, cost drivers, and revenue trends to provide actionable insights for leadership. Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and cash management. Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and audit-ready documentation. Supervise and mentor the Accounting Coordinator to build a high-performing team. Drive process improvement and system optimization, particularly within QuickBooks and related platforms. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA strongly preferred. CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or forensic accounting experience is a significant plus. 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle close and financial statement preparation. Demonstrated expertise in multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and U.S. GAAP. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems like QuickBooks. Proven ability to investigate financial discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising accounting staff.
