Business Analyst – Manufacturing Systems

▶ ︎ Job Details ・ Job Title: Business Analyst – Manufacturing Systems ・ Client: Japanese IT Company ・ Working Location: Liberty, NC ・ Working Style: Onsite ・ Employment Type: Contract ・ Salary: $47 / per hour ・ Benefit: No Insurance but 401K Match ・ Visa Support: N/A ・ Working Hours: Standard Business Hours ・ Language: English ▶ ︎ Key Responsibilities: ・ Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain, and IT stakeholders to understand operational challenges, business goals, and improvement opportunities. ・ Gather, document, analyze, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements. ・ Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather requirements and align stakeholders. ・ Develop BRDs, functional requirements, use cases, process maps, and user stories . ・ Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and standardization. ・ Lead process mapping and gap analysis across manufacturing, quality, and support functions. ・ Support continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives and track measurable business outcomes. ・ Work closely with IT teams, software vendors, and project teams to design solutions that meet business requirements. ・ Support system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, including solution reviews and deployment planning. ・ Define business rules, workflows, reports, dashboards, and data requirements. ・ Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test scenarios. ・ Coordinate testing with business users and project teams and verify solutions against business requirements. ・ Support organizational change management and user adoption for new systems and processes. ・ Develop training materials, user guides, and communications and facilitate end-user training. ▶ ︎ The right candidate will possess: ・ Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and business processes . ・ Ability to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions. ・ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. ・ Experience working across manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain, and IT teams. ・ Strong process mapping, gap analysis, and requirements management skills. ・ Continuous improvement mindset with experience supporting process optimization or Kaizen initiatives. ・ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple organizational levels. ▶ ︎ Required Qualifications & Skills: ・ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field . ・ 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related role . ・ Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, MES/MOM, ERP, or quality systems . ・ Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements. ・ Experience with process mapping, gap analysis, and business process improvement. ・ Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or enhancements. ・ Experience developing and executing UAT plans and test scenarios . ・ Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies . ・ Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, Power BI, Visio, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar collaboration tools . ・ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
