Service Advisor/Writer

DescriptionHansel Ford of Napa is looking a full-time Service Advisor to join our team!!

As a Service Advisor, you’ll play a key role in guiding customers through their service experience from start to finish. You’ll serve as the trusted link between customers and our technicians, helping guests understand their vehicle needs while delivering an experience that feels supportive, informed, and efficient.

Pay Range
Depending on job performance, the Service Advisor compensation ranges from $36,500.00 to $160,000 +.

What you’ll do

Greet every guest with a smile and deliver a premium check‑in experience
Write and manage repair orders with complete, accurate documentation
Present maintenance & repair recommendations clearly and ethically; gain approvals
Follow up on declined work to ensure safety and retention
Own the service lane flow: appointments, walk‑ins, updates, and promise times
Coordinate with warranty providers and keep guests informed at every step

Qualifications and Skills

• Dealership service writing experience is required!
• Professional appearance and strong customer presence
• Excellent communication skills — written & verbal
• Ability to confidently recommend and sell service
• Ford Service Advisor experience is a huge plus!
• Reliable, punctual, and customer‑focused
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Able to pass a drug test and criminal background screening

Pay Defined: The Service Advisor position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $16.90, plus performance bonuses. The performance bonus may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
