About The Role
Job Description & Summary: PwC India is looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Associate specializing in Business Analysis with domain expertise in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, engaging with multiple stakeholders from banking and insurance functions, and delivering business-aligned technology solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with technical teams and business users to bridge the gap between business needs and technology deployments within the BFSI ecosystem. Job Position Title: IN_Senior Associate_Business Analyst_BFSI_D&A_Advisory_PAN India Responsibilities: Partner with stakeholders across banking, insurance, wealth management, payments, or other BFSI domains to elicit and analyze detailed business requirements. Translate business requirements into clear and actionable Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specs, use cases, user stories, and process flows for technology teams. Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement validation sessions to ensure shared understanding and buy-in. Collaborate with project managers and delivery teams to oversee requirements implementation and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, and defect management. Support adoption planning and change management initiatives to maximize solution acceptance and business value realization. Conduct gap analysis on existing BFSI processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and regulatory compliance. Provide domain insights to influence solution architecture and product design tailored to BFSI business challenges. Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing project progress, risks, and mitigation plans for stakeholders and leadership. Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Mandatory skill sets: Proven experience as a Business Analyst with strong domain knowledge in one or more BFSI areas such as retail banking, commercial banking, insurance, wealth management, payments, or risk & compliance. Expertise in requirement elicitation, documentation (BRD, user stories), process mapping, and stakeholder management in BFSI contexts. Hands-on experience supporting UAT and issue resolution activities. Solid understanding of BFSI products, processes, regulations, and industry standards. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with technical and business stakeholders effectively. Familiarity with Agile and waterfall project delivery methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms. Ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. Preferred skill sets: Experience in digital transformation projects, core banking implementations, insurance platform rollouts, or payments modernization initiatives. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, AML/KYC, IFRS, Solvency II, or GDPR. Understanding of process improvement frameworks like Lean or Six Sigma. Exposure to data analytics, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms to support decision-making. Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or relevant BFSI certifications will be advantageous. Years of experience required: 4-7 Years Education qualification: BE, <B.Tech>, MBA, MCA, <M.Tech>, or equivalent, preferably with experience in BFSI domain.
