Job Position Title: Associate _ Know Your Customer (KYC) Analyst/QC - Advisory_Gift City Responsibilities: The role requires the selected candidate to support the project team in carrying out the Client Due Diligence in accordance with globally recognized KYC frameworks, international standards, regulatory requirements in jurisdictions such as US, UK, Canada, India and IFSCA, GIFT City. You will be responsible for client onboarding, periodic reviews, event driven reviews, sanctions and adverse media screening, PEP identification in order to gather intelligence about background, reputation and integrity of the global entities and its key personnel and ultimate beneficial owners by leveraging industry leading technology, tools and processes. We are looking for a candidate who has the ability and experience: · To conduct research and collect relevant information from the public domain and subscribed databases like LexisNexis, Factiva, World Check, Dow Jones, and BVD Orbis, among others in accordance with the laid down procedures and SLAs. · To collate information from internal and external sources including commercial registries, corporate databases, regulatory websites and legal databases across jurisdictions listed above to identify and report red flags pertaining to the client and identify potential business risks for the firm. · To perform screening to establish if the client entities, its KMPs or Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) are Politically Exposed Person (PEP), subject to Sanctions or have any adverse information reported against them in the media. · To conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and identify the Source of Wealth/Source of Funds. · To extract critical information with respect to Credit Ratings, Tax Defaults, Regulatory non-compliance and Lawsuits on client entities, its Shareholders and Directors. · To liaise and follow up with engagement teams or clients to collect required information, assessing the acceptability of the information returned. · To analyze Client Risk Rating as per the KYC policies guidance. · To assess potential business relationship risks due to adverse information, if any pertaining to each client and report/escalate it as per the escalation matrix to the management 1. To have experience and an understanding of the regulations issued by the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), supplemented by regulations applicable by the RBI, SEBI, and IRDAI guidelines. Additi onally, applicatory knowledge of regulations and guidelines followed by SEC, FINRA, FinCEN, and FCA, among others would also be beneficial. 2. To complete the abovementioned activities in timely, accurate and error-free manner. 3. To conduct ad-hoc trainings to eliminate chances of errors, implement regular training programs. 4. To escalate policy related queries/ exceptions and identified risks to management Mandatory skill sets: 5. An academic background preferably in business studies, finance and others. 6. Experience in dealing with different types of company structures (trust, fund, private limited, sole proprietor, partnerships, AIFs etc.) and a high level of attention to detail along with experience following strict processes and requirements. 7. Preferred experienced candidate in institutional KYC domain for global banking companies. 8. Preferred experience in KYC and AML policies and procedures, risk assessment, Third Party Due Diligence (TPDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) 9. Preferred experience in conducting research on third party proprietary databases such as Lexis Nexis, Factiva, World Check, World Law, Bloomberg, Hoovers, SOS websites for US, various countries Government websites and international Company registries. 10. Basic computing skills (MS office suite particularly Word and Excel) 11. Fluency in spoken and written English is a must. Additional languages desirable but not compulsory 12. Excellent communication skills and team player skills Preferred skill sets: 13. Good Communication Years of experience required: 2+ Years Education qualification: Any Graduation/MBA
