Senior Patient Services Specialist for Outpatient Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy

Under supervision this position is accountable for scheduling various types of patient appointments from simple office visits to complex procedures, securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance, and medical information, identifying services requiring authorization for treatment and referral information. This may include coordinating schedules with multiple providers and other specialized resources. Complexity of this position is evidenced by the use of simple and complex medical terminology and enterprise scheduling protocols. The scheduler/registrar/insurance verifier displays professional interpersonal skills and presence when communicating with physicians, staff and the public; as the front-line customer service representative, upholds and exhibits the core values in all communication. It is essential that this information be documented timely and accurately.
