Summary

We are looking for a highly technical, hands-on Senior Accounting Manager to own the core accounting infrastructure of a growing, global, post-Series B company.

This person will lead the company through a rigorous GAAP close, consolidation, revenue recognition, reporting, audit, payroll partnership, finance administration, and accounting systems environment. The role requires someone who can operate at both the technical and operational level: able to work through complex accounting questions, improve financial systems, develop a strong team, and continuously increase the leverage of the finance organization through automation, AI, clear standards, and scalable processes.

We intentionally operate with a lean finance organization. Success in this role will not come from adding layers or headcount. It will come from building better operators, stronger systems, cleaner processes, and a finance function that can scale significantly without becoming unnecessarily complex. This is ideal for a high-potential manager who aspires to learn, lead, and grow their career into a future finance leader.

What you’ll be doing

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, driving a disciplined, accurate, and increasingly efficient GAAP close process

Lead global consolidation across multiple legal entities, currencies, and jurisdictions, including intercompany accounting and eliminations

Own advanced and technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, complex transactions, accounting policy, and GAAP interpretation

Own preparation and review of internal and external financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery

Lead the evolution of the company’s accounting systems, integrations, and financial data architecture, reducing manual processes and improving control and visibility

Partner closely with People Operations on global payroll, ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliations, controls, and coordination across payroll providers and entities

Oversee core finance administration, including banking, treasury administration, entity support, expense and vendor processes, accounting documentation, and related operational workflows

Lead the company’s external financial statement audit, managing audit readiness, supporting schedules, technical accounting documentation, and auditor relationships

Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, controls, and documentation appropriate for a growing global organization

Partner with business leaders to ensure financial reporting accurately reflects business performance and supports decision-making

Proactively identify financial, accounting, systems, and process risks and resolve issues before they create downstream problems

Lead a deliberately lean finance organization, developing direct reports into stronger operators and increasing team capability through systems, automation, standards, and clear ownership rather than relying primarily on additional headcount

We’ll be excited if you have

Active CPA required

8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience owning close, consolidation, reporting, and technical accounting

Deep knowledge of the U.S. GAAP and demonstrated ability to independently research and resolve complex accounting matters

Prior experience in a post-Series B or later-stage, high-growth technology company

Experience working with global entities, multi-entity consolidation, intercompany transactions, and international accounting operations

Strong experience with revenue recognition and other advanced accounting topics relevant to a SaaS or technology business

Demonstrated ownership of annual external audits and audit readiness

Strong understanding of accounting systems, ERP environments, integrations, and financial data flows

Highly technical and AI-savvy, with a track record of using automation and technology to materially improve finance operations

Experience partnering with People Operations on payroll, ideally across multiple countries or payroll providers

Experience managing and developing accounting professionals in a lean operating environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to move fluidly between strategic issues, technical accounting, systems architecture, and hands-on execution

Comfortable operating in an environment where processes are still evolving and where leaders are expected to build rather than inherit fully mature infrastructure

Ability to work U.S. business hours
