This is a great opportunity whether you're new to the workplace or looking to make a real difference as part of a high-performing facilities team.What’s the opportunity for a Facilities Assistant at Gearset?You'll have a direct, visible impact on how the whole office experiences their working day - your work is felt by everyone, every single dayYou'll get variety in your day — no two days look the same, from managing deliveries to supporting onboarding to troubleshooting small facilities issuesYou'll build genuine, transferable skills in supplier coordination, office operations and health & safety practiceYou'll play a real part in shaping how our office feels, a well-run, welcoming workplace doesn't happen by accident, and you'll be at the heart of thatWhat you’ll achieveKeep shared areas (kitchens, coffee bar and meeting rooms) stocked, tidy and ready for useOwn day to day food and drink provisioning: placing orders (e.g. Sainsbury's), unpacking deliveries, rotating stock, and keeping storage organisedSupport daily office hygiene routines (e.g. dishwasher runs, waste and general housekeeping tasks)Help with onboarding logistics: liaising with our landlords, supporting first day office tours, and setting up basics like access cards and photos where neededCoordinate with suppliers and our landlord site team (e.g. post/couriers, canteen headcount comms, coffee bar maintenance & callouts, plants)Carry out simple, repeatable maintenance tasks and checks and raise/escalate issues promptlySupport request handling by monitoring facilities requests and helping triage and action straightforward tasksProvide day-to-day support to the Facilities Coordinator and Facilities Manager, helping the wider team stay on top of prioritiesAbout youDependable and approachable, and take pride in keeping things running wellStrong organisation and delivery — comfortable multi-tasking, managing procurement and deliveries, and a steady flow of small requests from around the businessA practical, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck into hands-on tasksConfident communicating with peers and suppliersExcellent problem solving skillsGreat to havesPrevious experience in an office, or facilities rolePerks and Benefits (the stuff you’d expect!)This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday in our Cambridge HQ.
