About The Role
Duties
(a) To handle matters related to office accommodation and building management;
(b) To handle general administration matters in the Department, including records management, electronic records management, contract management, supplies and procurement matters, etc.;
(c) To assist in operating the Government-wide Mobilization Level;
(d) To provide secretarial support to the Green Housekeeping Committee and assist in promoting environmental friendliness in the Department;
(e) To provide secretarial support to the Planning Department Staff Recreation Club and assist in organizing staff social functions;
(f) To provide support in human resources management and personnel functions including but not limited to recruitment and appointment etc., and to handle related enquiries and complaints; and
(g) To handle any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
(May be required to work in remote areas and work outside normal working hours and/or in irregular hours.)
Entry Requirements
Candidates should have -
(a) a bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (1) below];
(c) at least eight years of full-time working experience after obtaining the degree;
(d) at least six years of post-qualification full-time experience in work related to general administration or management work (including at least three years of experience at managerial level preferred). Relevant work experience in the Government or public bodies is an advantage;
(e) a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
(f) knowledge of common office applications including English and Chinese Word Processing, Excel and Powerpoint; and
(g) preferably a fair understanding of the operation of the Planning Department.
Pay
HK$66,090 per month
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for six months. Renewal of contract will be subject to service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the candidate.

Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about six to eight weeks from the closing date for application. This period may be longer in exceptional circumstances, e.g. when a large number of applications are received or when there are other complications. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
