About The Role

Research Technician, Implant TeamDUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND PRODUCTIVITY EXPECTATIONS

Perform survival surgical procedures on mice, including handling, restrain, anesthesia, surgical heterotopic and orthotopic tumor fragment and tumor cell implantations, euthanasia, tissue collection and tissue cryopreservation

Record study data within the laboratory information management system

Read, understand and adhere to study protocols

Perform general study preparation and organizational activities, including sample tube labeling, supply organization and stocking, and laboratory organization

Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis

Productivity Expectations: 150 unilateral NUDE PS/day, 60 bilateral NOG warm stock/day; 60 bilateral NOG cryo stock/day. To be attained within 3 months of training completion

Qualifications

PREFERRED: BS degree in animal science, biology, pharmacology, or related field.

PREFERRED: AALAS certification

PREFERRED: 2 years of related experience in contract research animal facility or similar setting.
