DescriptionPOSITION: Adjunct Faculty
DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Language & Literature / Spanish and Hispanic Studies
PAY RANGE: $450 - $1,300 per semester credit hour (SCH). Faculty are contracted per SCH. Actual compensation within this range is determined by factors including academic credentials, relevant professional experience, discipline, and course enrollment. Courses with lower enrollment may be prorated within this range in accordance with university policy.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in a field relevant to the course(s) taught and teaching experience at the College level.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To serve as an adjunct faculty member for the Spanish and Hispanic Studies Program. Include the following:
In-person teaching
Undergraduate courses
SPAN 110 Elementary Spanish I
APPOINTMENT DATE: Fall semester, with classes beginning September 1, 2026. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open.
WHY TEACH AT EMU?
Ensuring appropriate curriculum design, implementation, and assessment of the course.
Experience working with students from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
Familiarity with Moodle or other LMSs.
