About The Role

DescriptionBethany Athletic Club, a premier athletic club in Portland’s west side seeks a Kid Central Attendant to join the Kid Central team! The successful candidate will supervise, nurture, and care for children from ages 6 weeks 8 years old. This individual is expected to, among other things, welcome children each day, engage in crafts and activities, change diapers and ensure the safety of all children.

Schedule: M-F 3-8PM

Pay: $17.00- $17.50

Shift: PT

Main Responsibilities

Nurtures and cares for children while parents are using the facility
Provides a clean, safe and fun child care environment
Checks every child in and out with the KidCheck software system
Ensures safe playing conditions and follows established security procedures
Observes specific parental directions for feeding, nap times and other special needs
Informs parents about the policies and procedures of Kid Central and maintains a positive rapport with all parents
Develops and implements activities for the children on an ongoing basis
Treats children if injured and completes incident reports as well as notifies parents, supervisors and club managers of any incidents
Perform general administrative tasks

Qualifications

Experience working with children required
Motivated with a high level of energy, a friendly demeanor and a strong work ethic
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience in working and dealing with children and customers on a regular basis
A strong attention to detail, a high level of organization and a willing team player

QualificationsLanguage Requirement

All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures. Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
