Family Law Associate Attorney

DescriptionDue to continued growth, DeWitt LLP is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Madison family law team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with one to three years of experience who wants to build a meaningful family law practice in a collaborative, supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Our family law attorneys handle a broad range of matters, including divorce, legal separation, child custody and placement, adoption, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and other family-related matters. The ideal candidate is creative, curious, patient, and empathetic, with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism and good judgment. A sense of humor is always welcome.

QualificationsWhat We're Looking For

J.D. from an accredited law school

Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and in good standing

One to three years of legal experience, preferably with experience in family law

Strong writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills

Excellent judgment, organization, and attention to detail

A client-focused approach and the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism

A willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice
