DescriptionPay Rate: $25-$32 an hour, depending on experience

Job Type: Full Time, Remote

Job Mission: The mission of the HR Generalist at ACES is to elevate the standards in the treatment of Autism by creating the best working environment for our employees through clear, streamlined and fair HR processes, policies and procedures.

Job Summary: The HR Generalist is responsible for consulting with and advising organizational leaders and employees on HR-related subjects. They act as the POD leader for a specific group of assigned locations, directing and overseeing the work of their direct reports. The Generalist anticipates employee, leader, stakeholder and related organizational needs, and they work across the HR function to deliver integrated solutions. Works with assigned leadership to adapt and apply HR initiatives and programs in a manner that supports the local business needs. Serves as the face of HR for their area, focused on developing business partner relationships.

The essential job responsibilities of the HR Generalist include, but are not limited to

Supports other ACES departments with guidance and advice related to various HR functions including

Onboarding

Retention

Terminations/Offboarding

Performance Management

Employee Relations

Compensation and Benefits

Paycom Updates/Protocol

COVID-19 Management

Leads an assigned group of other HR employees to support a specific area of the business (either by location or discipline)

Acts as a liaison/HR authority in partnership with other key People functions like Recruiting, Training, L&D, Culture

Provides dedicated HR advisory to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change and all other employee-relations matters

Responsible for the day-to-day management of HR processes and tasks

Ensures employee understanding of applicable company policies and practices

Ensures compliance and proper application of all federal, state, and local laws, including FMLA, I-9, FLSA

QualificationsRequired Qualifications and Skills

  • Working knowledge of Human Resources concepts, practices, programs and methodologies
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a similar or related HR position, ex: HR Assistant, HR Coordinator
  • Understands ACES HR policies, practices and expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to tailor communication approach to specific situations and audiences
  • Problem-solving skills and critical thinking
  • Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and HRIS software

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 10 pounds
  • May include, without limitation, the following physical demands: sitting, typing and viewing a screen(s) for long periods of time
