About The Role

DescriptionJob Purpose

  • The Technician-Co Lead at Valley Ford Trucks-Master will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our fleet of trucks. This position is responsible for leading a team of technicians, overseeing repair and maintenance tasks, and ensuring high standards of service and safety are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of technicians to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repair of trucks.
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and implement solutions to prevent breakdowns.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Train and mentor technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for improving maintenance processes and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.

QualificationsRequired Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in automotive technology or related fields are preferred.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on truck maintenance and repair.
  • Proven experience in leading or co-leading a team of technicians in a workshop environment.
  • Experience working with Ford trucks or similar vehicles is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to truck maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior technicians.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and customers.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards in all repair and maintenance activities.
