About The Role
DescriptionJob Purpose
- The Technician-Co Lead at Valley Ford Trucks-Master will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our fleet of trucks. This position is responsible for leading a team of technicians, overseeing repair and maintenance tasks, and ensuring high standards of service and safety are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repair of trucks.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and implement solutions to prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Train and mentor technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for improving maintenance processes and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
QualificationsRequired Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in automotive technology or related fields are preferred.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on truck maintenance and repair.
- Proven experience in leading or co-leading a team of technicians in a workshop environment.
- Experience working with Ford trucks or similar vehicles is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to truck maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior technicians.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and customers.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards in all repair and maintenance activities.
