Department Overview The position is within the Procurement Operations Department of Rakuten Group, Inc. The Procurement Operations Department is responsible for the overall procurement operations of the Rakuten Group. Position: Why We Hire As we work to standardize procurement processes across the entire Rakuten Group, there is a need for the strategic and efficient design and development of a procurement system. Accordingly, we are seeking individuals to join our ongoing project to implement a new procurement system and take the lead in driving the project forward. Position Details Procurement System Maintenance - Initial response to system errors and coordination with the development team. New Procurement System Project Management - Managing project progress and resolving issues related to the new system implementation. - Defining and executing data integration strategies between legacy and new systems. - Providing post-implementation support and handling user inquiries. - Reporting on operational status and driving continuous improvement initiatives post-launch. Work Environment The entire organization has a size of nearly 80 employees, and the department you are expected to be assigned to has approximately 30 employees. *Due to the expansion of operations, we are also promoting the use of external contractors, so the department as a whole is expected to grow further. Mandatory Qualifications: - At least three years of professional work experience. - Experience in system implementation, management, or operations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Business level English proficiency. Desired Qualifications: - Work experience in a procurement-related department. - Experience in implementing procurement SaaS systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa). - Experience leading mid-sized projects.
