Play a key leadership role in the development and construction of a greenfield container terminal and business in Bangladesh. Gain exposure to large-scale capital infrastructure project delivery within a global port and logistics organization. Collaborate with international stakeholders across project delivery, engineering, business integration, and corporate functions. Build deep expertise in project management, project controls, and the container and logistics industry while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead the project controls function, ensuring consistent application of project execution and project control processes across the project lifecycle. Develop, maintain, and integrate project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to provide a single source of truth for project performance. Implement and administer project control systems, including planning, document management, reporting, change management, and governance tools. Monitor progress against approved baselines, proactively identifying, addressing, escalating, and reporting project performance issues and risks. Facilitate effective change management, risk management, document control, and project reporting processes across consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Establish and maintain project visual management systems, meeting structures, standards, and ways of working that drive alignment and transparency. Build strong relationships with project teams, headquarters functions, and external stakeholders to ensure dependencies, interfaces, and delivery impacts are well understood and managed. Significant professional experience in project controls, including at least 15 years of overall experience and a minimum of 7 years within a project controls discipline. Proven accountability for project delivery on large-scale and complex capital infrastructure projects. Hands-on experience with project management systems and platforms used for document control, contracts, change management, cost control, communications, and milestone tracking. Advanced knowledge of project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, OPC, Microsoft Project, or equivalent solutions. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present clearly and concisely to senior leadership and influence teams within a governance framework. Experience working in culturally and technically diverse environments and mentoring or coaching colleagues to achieve project objectives. Project management certification such as PMP, PMQ, or equivalent is required. Fluency in English is required. A bachelor's degree in an engineering or project management discipline, familiarity with the FIDIC contract framework, supervisory experience, matrix organization experience, and Bengali language skills are advantageous. About the Role As Project Controls Lead, you will be a key member of the project leadership team responsible for delivering a greenfield container terminal and business in Chattogram, Bangladesh. This role is critical to ensuring transparent project reporting, strong governance, informed decision-making, and proactive performance management throughout the project lifecycle. You will provide leadership across project controls disciplines while enabling accurate forecasting, risk visibility, and effective communication of project status to internal and external stakeholders. Success in this position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership, collaboration, and a forward-looking approach focused on predicting, preventing, and resolving challenges before they impact delivery. The role reports directly to the Project Director, with a functional reporting line to the BIM Project Management Office (PMO), and includes leadership responsibility for key project controls resources.
