About The Role

Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nursing Staff, will deliver patient care and service which is safe and timely. • All direct patient care provided by healthcare assistants should be toward adult patients who do not require critical care or high-dependency care. • Healthcare assistants shall not have a role in the provision of any invasive procedure. • Identify opportunities for improvement and escalate accordingly reflective of the chain of command. • Perform other duties as may be assigned within his/her scope and ability. • Support the escort of patients within the Clinical setting. • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. • Perform manual handling tasks, such as patient transfers and mobility, based on competency and experience. • Perform and record basic vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) as delegated.
