Manufacturing Engineer - Plant A

Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through process optimization, continuous improvement, cost reduction initiatives, and technical problem-solving. The role serves as a key liaison between Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Product Engineering to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing processes while meeting quality, delivery, and productivity objectives. Key Responsibilities Provide daily engineering support to manufacturing operations and production lines. Analyze production processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, capacity, and product quality. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, BOMs, routings, PFMEAs, and standard operating procedures. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through process improvements, tooling enhancements, and equipment optimization. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer activities, ensuring successful ramp-up and production readiness. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing and quality issues. Design, develop, and validate manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and production equipment. Collaborate with Maintenance and EHS teams to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and ergonomic compliance. Support training and development of production personnel on manufacturing processes and best practices. Participate in cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with process validation, line balancing, and capacity analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Fluent in English and Spanish. Experience with automation and Industry 4.0 technologies. Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar.
