About The Role
The Communications Assistant will primarily support the ELSA Study, a UK-wide project recruiting 70,000 children and young people aged 2–17 to assess the feasibility and benefits of screening for type 1 diabetes. A major focus will be reaching 16- and 17-year-olds through social media for online registration. Working with the ELSA team, Birmingham Health Partners and Research FIRST, the postholder will create and deliver multi-channel communications across social media, web, media, events and advertising; produce accessible content for varied audiences; manage digital channels and CRM activity; develop campaign materials; monitor performance; and provide administrative support. The role requires strong writing, organisation, social media skills, initiative and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.
