About The Role

Duties

(a) To provide executive, administrative and secretariat support to the committee meetings.

(b) To plan and provide support for the major official ceremonial and celebration activities, including liaise with relevant government bureaux/departments, contractors and organisations on the preparatory and implementation work.

(c) To oversee the preparation and production of territory-wide activity lists and accreditation of community organised events.

(d) To handle enquiries and complaints from the public.

(e) To prepare briefs and compiling reports.

(f) Any other duties as assigned.

(g) If necessary, will be required to work outside normal office hours including Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have –

(a) a bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;

(b) attained “Level 3” or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) / Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [Note (1)];

(c) a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification full-time work experience, including at least 4 years in managerial positions. Relevant work experience and / or qualification(s) in event management is preferred;

(d) Knowledge of Putonghua is essential;

(e) good organisation, co-ordination, analytical, interpersonal, project planning / project management skills and ability to work independently;

(f) good knowledge and understanding of the operation of the government or public organisations. Relevant work experience in the Government, higher education institutions or public organisations is preferred; and

(g) good command of computer knowledge including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.

Pay

$83,975 per month

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 11 months. The actual contract period will be determined by the Bureau according to operational needs.
