About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and self-driven Project Officer to join our team and drive impactful socio-economic development initiatives within our identified community. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in social work, a deep understanding of socio-economic issues, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to create positive change.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive surveys and assessments of individuals and families to identify socio-economic challenges and develop appropriate intervention plans to enhance their employability.
  • Collaborate with community members, local organizations, and government agencies to design and implement programs that address key socio-economic issues such as poverty, unemployment, housing, and access to healthcare.
  • Provide counseling and support to individuals and families in need, assisting them in navigating available resources and services.
  • Advocate for policy changes at local and regional levels to promote socio-economic development and improve the overall well-being of the community.
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions to raise awareness about socio-economic issues and build capacity within the community.
  • Explore central government, state government and local government schemes available for the communities and tap into the resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of socio-economic programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure positive outcomes i.e., ensure that the program implementation results in higher income generation for the people at the identified communities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, educators, healthcare professionals, and legal advisors to provide holistic support to clients.
  • Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in socio-economic development and social work.
  • Coordinate with livestock vendors, Agriculture experts, Entrepreneurship Development experts/trainers to gain knowledge about the programs that could be passed on for smooth implementation at the project locations.
  • Build and maintain good rapport with local people, Block and district level officials, media representatives & resource persons. Invite and engage them in different programs organized by the project.
  • Conduct Train the trainer program at frequent intervals and provide hands on training to the local facilitators.
  • Establish connection with Jan Shikshan Sansthan for available resources which could benefit our Adult Literacy programs. Introduce adult literacy training at the project locations and track the progress in a number driven format for reporting purposes.
  • Prepare monthly and annual working budgets and submit to Executive Director.
  • Monitor project activities and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track and responsible for monthly/quarterly/half-yearly project progress.
  • Facilitate the timely flow of communication, resources, and inputs from the field to Head office for smooth implementation of project activities.
  • Coordinate project visits for the Executive Director and assist with donors to firsthand experience the progress and the success of the implemented programs.
  • Consolidate Project Progress Reports and submit to the Executive Director
  • Prepare and present data driven and pictorial reports to the Executive Director on a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and yearly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in social work, community development, or socio-economic initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of socio-economic challenges and disparities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge, MS-Office
  • Strong networking and liasoning skills
  • Knowledge of livelihood related projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong team player and gender sensitive
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Willing to travel extensively across the country.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to social services and development.
