COMMIS CHEF

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

  • Salary: €36,605 per annum
  • Hours: 39 hours per week

About the Role

The Eagle is seeking a Commis Chef to join our professional kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, cooking, stock management, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene within a busy hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items in accordance with company standards.
  • Prepare ingredients including vegetables, meats, fish, sauces, and garnishes.
  • Ensure food is consistently presented to a high standard.
  • Support senior chefs during food service periods.
  • Receive, check, and store deliveries appropriately.
  • Assist with stock rotation and stock control procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout all kitchen areas.
  • Follow HACCP procedures and all food safety regulations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
