Ærø Hotel is currently looking for 2 motivated employees to join our housekeeping team. The positions primarily involve housekeeping, but the housekeeping team also assists with the hotel’s dishwashing department as part of the daily operation. About Ærø Hotel Ærø Hotel is a family-owned and family-operated hotel located in the maritime town of Marstal on the beautiful island of Ærø, Denmark. The hotel has: 100 hotel rooms Around 35,000 overnight stays every year Restaurant and Compass Bar Conference and event facilities Indoor swimming pool Fitness room An international team with employees from several European countries Ærø Hotel is Denmark’s only adults-only hotel, welcoming guests aged 18 years and above. English is the primary working language at the hotel, so it is not necessary to speak Danish. Your Responsibilities Your daily responsibilities will include: Cleaning and preparing guest rooms Cleaning bathrooms Changing bed linen and towels Making beds according to hotel standards Restocking guest amenities and supplies Cleaning corridors and other public areas Ensuring that all rooms are clean, tidy and ready for arriving guests Following the hotel’s cleaning procedures and quality standards Assisting in the hotel’s dishwashing department Washing dishes, glasses, cutlery and kitchen equipment Keeping the dishwashing area clean and organised Working closely with the rest of the housekeeping team to ensure an efficient daily operation We Are Looking For People Who Speak and understand English Are reliable, responsible and hardworking Have a positive attitude Work well as part of a team Are able to work independently Are comfortable with physically demanding work Can work efficiently while maintaining a high standard Are flexible regarding working hours, including weekends Preferably have previous experience from hotels, housekeeping or professional cleaning Previous housekeeping experience is an advantage, but the right attitude, reliability and willingness to work are equally important. What We Offer Full-time employment 2 available positions Start as soon as possible Hourly salary of DKK 130 before tax 12.5% Danish holiday pay in addition to the hourly salary Stable employment Friendly and international colleagues Thorough introduction and training Staff accommodation available The opportunity to live and work on the beautiful island of Ærø Staff Accommodation Staff accommodation is available approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel. At present, each employee has a private bedroom, while kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared with other employees. Rent is DKK 750 per person per week, including: Electricity Water Heating Internet During the coming winter, the staff accommodation will undergo a complete renovation. After the renovation, each room will have its own private bathroom and a small private kitchen, providing significantly improved and more independent living facilities for our employees.
