Software Development Engineer (Odoo Developer)

As an Software Engineer – Odoo Developer , you will design, develop, and maintain Odoo-based solutions that support business processes across multiple domains. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Managers, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable technical solutions. This role combines hands-on Odoo development with system integration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and technical improvement. You will also contribute to technical decision-making, code quality, and the development of engineering capabilities within the team. What You'll Do Design, develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules across multiple business domains. Develop new features and enhancements using Python and the Odoo framework , following established coding standards and best practices. Build and maintain integrations between Odoo and third-party applications using REST APIs, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC , and other integration methods. Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable, and secure technical solutions . Optimize application performance, database queries, and system scalability to ensure reliable Odoo operations. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues , while supporting module migrations and upgrades across Odoo versions. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle, including technical discussions and solution design. Conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor junior developers to strengthen engineering practices. What You'll Bring to the Team Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering , or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also considered. Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience , including at least 3 years of hands-on Odoo/ERP development experience . Strong proficiency in Python and extensive experience developing with Odoo Community and/or Enterprise editions . Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL , including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning. Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and third-party system integrations . Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles. Experience with Git and modern version control workflows , as well as Linux environments and software deployment processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and collaboration abilities; experience with Java and/or Spring Framework is a plus.
