Definition: The Assistant Teacher plays a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students. This position involves collaborating with lead teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and well-being.

QualificationsQualifications

Shall have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent. A 2-year degree is preferred. Note: An option of actively participating in a CDA certification program exists, but prior approval by the Director is needed.

Shall have one (1) year of experience in the early childhood field.

Must be willing to maintain CPR and First Aide Certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
