NEW WORLD STANMORE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY New World Stanmore is a great community supermarket in the heart of Christchurch. We are currently looking for a new team member in our Grocery Department. GROCERY ASSISTANT/RELIEF STOREPERSON – 40 HRS This permanent full-time position (Tuesday to Saturday, approx. 6.30am-3pm) will require you to look after all aspects of the storeroom in the absence of the main storeperson. In particular it will involve unloading trucks with the forklift, receipting stock, temperature checks, updating food safety device, taking charge of bread and eggs daily, keeping the storeroom/yard clean & tidy. It will also involve filling the grocery shelves/working stock. You will require the following for this role: Forklift and driver's licence Be physically fit and able to handle the heavy lifting Confident unloading trucks Be able to work as part of a team & demonstrate a good work ethic Be honest and friendly with a positive attitude Maintain cleanliness in the storeroom and Yard IT skills to be able to help scan in the DC order, and give priority to direct orders Good customer service skills Retail experience in a similar environment We employ 80 amazing people from all walks of life in a range of roles.
