About The Role
Fraport Greece responsible for operating, managing, and upgrading 14 Regional Airports in the most attractive destinations in Greece is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join the HR team and contribute to the accurate and timely delivery of our payroll operations.
The role requires hands-on payroll experience, strong knowledge of Greek labor and social security legislation, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with payroll data in a complex, shift-based working environment.
What you will be doing
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable labor, tax, and social security legislation and company policies.
- Collect, review, and validate monthly payroll inputs, including working time, absences, overtime, allowances, benefits, and other payroll-related data.
- Perform payroll checks and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support the resolution of payroll-related issues.
- Monitor time & attendance data and working schedules, including shift work, overtime, night work, Sundays and public holidays, ensuring accurate payroll processing.
- Support payroll-related processes associated with ERGANI II and the Digital Work Card, ensuring consistency between working-time and payroll data.
- Prepare and analyze payroll, headcount, labor cost, and other workforce-related reports, providing accurate data and insights to support recurring reporting, planning, forecasting, and business requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll and employee data across relevant HR systems, ensuring data quality, consistency, and confidentiality.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, attendance, and related matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal and/or external stakeholders to collect, validate, and provide reliable payroll and workforce information for recurring and ad-hoc reporting requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes, controls, reporting, and systems, identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in payroll.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of the end-to-end payroll cycle.
- Very good knowledge of Greek labor, tax, and social security legislation related to payroll.
- Experience in payroll processing within a shift-based working environment will be highly valued.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with payroll and workforce data.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
- Hands on experience working with Pylon Payroll/HRM and SAP Success Factors is a plus.
