About The Role

Liquid Personnel is recruiting experienced Team Leader to join its client's Learning Disabilities Adult Social Care Service Team at Coventry. This is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the operational management of a busy Adult Social Care team, ensuring high-quality services are delivered to adults with learning disabilities. Working alongside three other Team Leaders, you will share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, providing professional leadership, oversight and guidance to social care practitioners while maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding, practice quality and positive outcomes for service users.

The successful candidate will oversee case allocation, workload management, duty arrangements, supervision and quality assurance activity, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met and practice standards remain consistently high. You will play a vital role in supporting staff development, monitoring performance, conducting audits and responding to complaints, while working collaboratively with internal teams and partner agencies across health and social care. pact within a supportive and collaborative Adult Social Care environment.

What will your responsibilities be?

Providing day-to-day operational leadership within the Learning Disabilities Adult Social Care Team

Managing and delivering regular supervision to social workers and adult social care practitioners

Supporting staff performance, professional development and reflective practice

Overseeing duty functions and ensuring timely responses to referrals and service demands

Allocating work appropriately across the team and monitoring caseload distribution

Providing management oversight and guidance on complex cases and safeguarding concerns

Undertaking quality assurance activity to ensure compliance with statutory duties, policies and procedures

Completing audits and reviewing practice standards to support continuous improvement

Monitoring case progression and ensuring timely decision-making and intervention

Managing complaints and supporting the resolution of service user and stakeholder concerns

Ensuring accurate recording, documentation and case management across the team

Working closely with operational managers and fellow Team Leaders to deliver service objectives

Promoting person-centred, strengths-based practice across all areas of service delivery

Supporting effective partnership working with health professionals, providers, carers and external agencies

Contributing to service improvements, workforce development initiatives and practice excellence

Ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are fulfilled and risks are appropriately managed

Supporting the implementation of Adult Social Care legislation, policy and best practice guidance

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role you must have,

Professional Qualification

MA, BA or BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW

Registration

Must be registered with Social Work England

Experience

  • Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Social Care
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Previous experience providing supervision, leadership or management support within a social work setting
  • Experience overseeing complex casework, safeguarding activity and risk management
  • Experience managing workloads, allocations and operational pressures within a busy team environment
  • Experience undertaking audits, quality assurance and performance monitoring activities
  • Experience handling complaints and supporting service improvement initiatives
  • Strong experience working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and partner agencies
