Flight Operations Engineer

About The Role
Marabu Airlines is looking for a Flight Operations Engineer to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our Airbus fleet. In this role, you will manage critical flight operations data, systems, and engineering processes, ensuring that pilots and operational teams have access to accurate and up-to-date information.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update flight operations engineering systems, databases, and documentation.
- Ensure the availability and accuracy of aeronautical information, operational publications, and flight planning data.
- Manage and validate fleet databases, including FMS, EFB, GPWS, performance, and weight and balance systems.
- Maintain scheduling and flight planning software databases, including callsigns and airport categorization data.
- Ensure all required flight permits, traffic rights, and operational clearances are obtained.
- Monitor externally sourced operational data and ensure compliance with technical specifications and data integrity requirements.
- Analyze post-flight data, including flight documentation, weight and balance, and aircraft performance information.
- Support of Maintenance Check Flight Pilots in demonstration, acceptance, and post-maintenance flights, including associated flight operations engineering input, data capture, and recording activities
- Conduct fuel data analysis and support environmental reporting activities, including EU ETS and CORSIA requirements.
- Support commercial projects by preparing and analyzing operational data.
- Participate in airport and route risk assessments.
- Develop, review, and maintain Flight Operations Engineering procedures and OM-C content.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders across Flight Operations, OCC, Safety, Compliance, and Crew Planning.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Support budget preparation and review Flight Operations Engineering-related invoices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Flight Operations Engineering, Flight Dispatch, OCC, Performance Engineering, or a similar aviation role.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Aircraft performance
- Weight and balance
- Flight planning systems
- EASA Air Operations regulations
- Experience working with operational databases, EFB solutions, and flight planning software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within an EASA-regulated airline environment.
- Knowledge of Airbus aircraft operations.
- Familiarity with fuel efficiency programs, emissions reporting, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience with flight planning, performance, or weight and balance software systems.
