About The Role

Our Appleblossom Centre in Rathmines is looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our team on a Full-Time basis (39 hours per week). This is a leadership role suited to an experienced Early Years Educator who is ready to take the next step in their career and support the overall management of the centre.

The Role

  • Support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the centre
  • Ensure a safe, caring and engaging environment for all children
  • Support staff, supervise rooms and ensure ratios are maintained
  • Ensure compliance with Tusla regulations, Children First Act 2015, and all relevant legislation
  • Support the planning and implementation of programmes in line with Aistear and Síolta
  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians
  • Support staff development, mentoring and performance standards
  • Assist with centre administration, record keeping and compliance documentation
  • Step into the Manager role when required

Your Profile

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum QQI Level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education or recognised equivalent
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting
  • Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and Tusla requirements
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • Good command of the English language
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead when required

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role
  • First Aid, Manual Handling or Food Safety training
