Children’s Social Worker

Location: Colindale / Barnet Role Type: Locum Working Pattern: Hybrid – approximately 2 days in the office, with family visits as required About the Role We are looking for a qualified and experienced Children’s Social Worker to join Barnet Council on a locum basis. The successful candidate will have strong experience in child protection and statutory social work. Tasks Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of children and families in line with statutory requirements. Work within Child Protection and Child in Need frameworks. Undertake assessments, visits and reviews and maintain accurate records. Prepare reports and contribute to court proceedings when required. Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and other professionals. Attend the office approximately 2 days per week and complete family visits as required. Requirements Requirements Qualified Children’s Social Worker . Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience . Registered with Social Work England (SWE) . Experience working within a long-term team. Strong experience in Child Protection, Child in Need and Court work . Ability to work in a hybrid environment and undertake statutory family visits. Strong communication, assessment and report-writing skills.
