• We are a collaborative Midwife/OB-GYN team providing care to a diverse patient population that draws from multiple counties in the Hudso
• n Valley.
• We currently have 5 midwives in the practice and are seeking to increase staf
• fing to 7.

The

ideal candidate is dedicated to the midwifery model of patient empowerment,

that is grounded in compassion and shared decision making.

A full-time outpatient only midwife will work 5 clinic days per week (

80 hours

per two

week

pay period). Monday through Friday schedule.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, have excellent communication skills, easily

establish

rapport and trust with patients and families, is committed to evidence-based care and practices, and

values

working with a diverse patient population. We are seeking a candidate that is reliable and adaptable and has

a high level

of clinical competence, compassion and empathy, commitment to patient education, cultural sensitivity, excellent interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and passion for lifelong learning and professional development.

in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill and Highland

• and work alongside 7 board certified physicians.
• The practice
• admits
• exclusively to Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Our busy Labor and Delivery Unit sees about 2,800 babies born each year.
• We have a level III NICU staffed by neonatologists, as well as an excellent Perinatology program.
• In addition, we have fellowship trained breast surgeons and GYN-oncologists that are
• located
• on the Vassar Hospital campus.
