About The Role
About Us At Tektome, we're at the forefront of technological innovation for the AEC industry. Our commitment is to drive excellence, push technological boundaries, and transform the AEC as a whole. We are a spin out of one of the first AI companies in Japan, Incubit. We're looking for dedicated professionals who share our passion and ambition. If you're a developer hungry forchallenges and eager to be part of a pioneering tech firm, Tektome is where you belong.About the roleWe’re looking for an IT Manager to be the single point of accountability for the internal systems our team relies on every day: laptops, networks, identity, SaaS, and the vendor relationships behind all of it. This role is focused on corporate IT, not product infrastructure; our cloud and infrastructure engineers own the production stack. The job is primarily coordination. Much of the technical depth already exists across the company, in engineering, in security, and with our external partners and what’s missing is someone who owns the whole picture: who decides what our standards are, who makes sure nothing falls between teams, who drives vendors and internal stakeholders to closure, and who leadership can ask a question and get a straight answer from. You’ll be technical enough to make good calls and challenge bad ones, but your leverage comes from organizing people and processes rather than doing every task yourself.Success looks like an environment where employees rarely think about IT because it quietly works, and where nothing important is waiting on an unowned decision. What you’ll doInternal systems and operationsOwn the day-to-day availability of internal systems: office networks, corporate SaaS, endpoints, file storage, and telephonyManage identity and access, SSO, MFA, provisioning, deprovisioning, and least-privilege access reviewsMaintain backup and continuity plans for internal systems and business data, and test them on a defined scheduleManage the endpoint fleet end to end: procurement, imaging, MDM enrollment, patching, and lifecycle replacementOwn IT onboarding and offboarding: devices, accounts, and access provisioned before day one and fully revoked on exitSupport and service deliveryRun the internal help desk: triage, SLAs, escalation paths, and resolution qualityCreate documentation and self-service resources that reduce repeat ticketsTrack ticket trends and fix root causes rather than symptomsSecurity hygiene and compliance supportImplement and enforce baseline security policies on internal systems: endpoint protection, device encryption, patch cadence, and acceptable useCoordinate security awareness training and phishing simulationsProvide evidence and system records for audits and compliance requirements (SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / GDPR / other) through our compliance platform, keeping integrations connected and evidence currentEscalate suspected security issues promptly to security/engineering leadership and support their responseVendors and budgetManage relationships with MSPs, ISPs, hardware suppliers, and SaaS vendorsOwn license inventory and renewals; eliminate shadow IT and redundant spendBuild and manage the IT budget; make clear build-vs-buy recommendationsCoordination and ownershipCoordinate with engineering leadership, including infrastructure and security, to keep corporate IT aligned with how the product stack is built and secured, and to avoid gaps or overlap between the twoWork with back-office functions (HR, Finance, Legal, Office Ops) on hiring cycles, asset tracking, spend approvals, and policy rolloutSet the internal IT roadmap in partnership with department leadersReport on availability, ticket volume, spend, and risk to leadershipWhat we’re looking forRequired5+ years in IT, including experience owning a corporate IT function end to endStrong working knowledge of Windows / macOS / Linux administration and endpoint management (MDM)Experience with identity providers (Okta / Entra ID / Google Workspace) and administering a broad SaaS estateNetworking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls, Wi-Fi designClear communication with non-technical colleaguesDemonstrated ownership: you close loops without being chasedNice to haveRelevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, AZ-104, ITIL)Experience scaling internal IT through significant headcount growthScripting or automation (PowerShell / Python / Bash) to replace manual admin workExperience supporting a company through a formal compliance auditJapanese language abilityWhat We OfferRelocation PackageCompetitive salary, benefits etc.Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologiesCollaborative and inclusive work environmentPersonal growth and learning opportunities.
