Our Dicky Birds Day Nursery in Claremont Road is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Nursery Manager to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

Location and Travel

  • Set in a beautifully renovated barn on Claremont Road, just a short walk from Claremont Gardens and only 5 minutes from Surbiton Station.
  • With three nurseries in the local area, all close to transport links and the high street, we make drop-offs easy—while delivering high-quality childcare and early years education.
  • What will you be doing
  • Create an environment that supports the individual needs of all children
  • Maintain systems to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of our childcare practices
  • Maintain effective methods of communication with children, staff, parents, and carers
  • Maintain open and positive working relationships with staff
  • Ensure that practices and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Assist in agreeing and reviewing individual targets with staff
  • Assume playroom and additional management responsibilities when required
  • Keep costs in line with the agreed budgets
