About The Role
We are seeking a compassionate Supported Accommodation Officer to work alongside people who have experienced homelessness and are now living in our properties. You will use a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to create a safe, welcoming environment, recognising residents’ strengths, lived experiences, and right to make informed choices. This is a rewarding role for someone committed to empowering individuals, promoting dignity, and supporting residents to achieve greater stability, independence, and wellbeing. Residents may arrive with a range of experiences and needs beyond housing. During their stay, you will support them in identifying and addressing these needs, working collaboratively with voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure coordinated, compassionate care. You will also ensure that the properties are kept to a good standard as well as carrying out basic financial and administration functions in the operation of the house. The exact hours and locations of your work will vary, based on the needs of the organisation. You must be flexible, and some evening and weekend work will be required. You will also be expected to participate in the on-call system (approximately 1 week in 8) to provide emergency cover (by telephone or at the premises) during normal working hours.Interviews are expected to take place on Tuesday 1st September. Many of our staff work flexibly, including part-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need. We can’t promise to give you exactly what you want, but we do promise not to judge you for asking.
