About The Role
Savan Group is seeking experienced Project Specialists to provide direct technical assistance, compliance support, and capacity-building services to Tribal victim service programs funded through federal grant programs. Project Specialists will work directly with Tribal communities, victim service providers, and grant recipients to assess needs, develop compliance assistance plans, deliver training and technical support, and assist organizations in strengthening victim services and program operations. This role requires expertise working with American Indian and Alaska Native communities, strong relationship-building skills, and practical experience supporting victim service programs. The Project Specialist will be located in the lower 48 states and will be required to travel to tribal regions and communities. They will help organizations improve program operations, compliance, sustainability, and service delivery while ensuring support is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and victim-centered. Role Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to identify organizational, programmatic, and compliance-related needs. Develop and implement tailored compliance assistance and capacity-building plans. Provide technical assistance to Tribal victim service providers and Tribal grant recipients. Assist organizations in strengthening policies, procedures, strategic plans, and sustainability efforts. Support development of community needs assessments and program improvement initiatives. Facilitate workshops, webinars, technical assistance sessions, and peer-learning activities. Deliver guidance on victim services best practices and federal grant compliance requirements. Assist in developing training materials, fact sheets, templates, toolkits, and other resources. Support development of culturally appropriate victim services approaches. Document technical assistance activities, outcomes, lessons learned, and follow-up recommendations. Coordinate with Tribal leaders, victim advocates, service providers, and federal stakeholders. Participate in virtual and in-person site visits and consultation activities. Contribute to annual reports, performance reporting, and evaluation activities. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree Demonstrated expertise and experience working with AI/AN communities and cultures. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting AI/AN communities with victim services. Knowledge of victim service delivery models and trauma-informed care principles. Experience providing technical assistance, training, or capacity-building support. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working collaboratively with Tribal governments and community organizations. Ability to travel to Tribal and Alaska Native communities as needed. Ability to obtain and maintain any required government background investigation or clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting victim advocacy programs, domestic violence programs, sexual assault services, human trafficking programs, MMIP initiatives, elder abuse services, or child advocacy centers. Experience with federal grant programs and compliance requirements. Experience developing training curricula and resource materials. Knowledge of culturally responsive and survivor-informed service delivery practices. Work Location and Schedule: Remote/Hybrid, Washington, DC or Alaska *Periodic travel to Tribal and Alaska Native communities, conferences, trainings, site visits, and client locations may be required. Compensation Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position is $75K–$100K. This range represents Savan Group’s good faith estimate at the time of posting and is not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, market conditions, and geographic location. For positions supporting federal contracts, compensation may also be subject to applicable labor category requirements, contract terms, funding, and other contract-specific provisions.
