Job Description & Summary: PwC India is seeking a highly skilled MERN Stack Developer with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications. This role focuses on delivering robust frontend and backend solutions using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, along with modern development practices and cloud technologies to meet evolving business requirements. Job Position Title: IN_Senior Associate_MERN Stack Developer_D&A_Advisory_PAN India Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) technology stack. Build reusable frontend components and ensure responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React.js and modern UI frameworks. Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services with Node.js and Express.js to support frontend or third-party integrations. Implement database schemas, data models, and queries using MongoDB to ensure high performance and data consistency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions. Ensure code quality by writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools like Jest, Mocha, or related frameworks. Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security following best practices and industry standards. Manage version control using Git and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to enable smooth and reliable deployments. Troubleshoot and debug issues across frontend, backend, and database layers to maintain system stability. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to MERN stack and cloud deployments. Mandatory skill sets: Strong hands-on experience with the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. Proficiency in building responsive user interfaces with React and managing state using Redux or comparable libraries. Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js. Solid experience with MongoDB for schema design, query optimization, and data aggregation. Familiarity with JavaScript ES6+ features, asynchronous programming, and modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Babel). Working knowledge of Git for version control and collaboration. Experience in writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality. Understanding of security best practices including authentication, authorization (JWT, OAuth), and OWASP guidelines. Ability to troubleshoot and optimize application performance across client and server sides. Preferred skill sets: Experience with containerization tools like Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Familiarity with CI/CD toolchains (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline). Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices design principles. Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence. Understanding of frontend testing tools such as Cypress or Selenium.
