Solution Sales Specialist - Azure & AI

Azure Solution Architecture & Design · Design Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS, hybrid cloud, and AI/ML workloads in alignment with customer requirements and reference architectures. · Participate in technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops with customer stakeholders. · Translate functional and non-functional requirements into Azure solution designs that emphasize security, scalability, and cost efficiency. · Produce architecture deliverables including solution diagrams, high-level and low-level designs, and deployment approaches. · Support workload migration initiatives including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and modernization scenarios. Pre-Sales Technical Support · Support pre-sales engagements by delivering technical presentations, architecture walkthroughs, and solution demonstrations. · Collaborate with Account Managers to technically qualify opportunities and position Azure and AI solutions effectively. · Contribute to responses for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs including technical designs, assumptions, and effort estimates. · Assist with proof of concept activities and technical validations. · Participate in handover activities from pre-sales to delivery teams to ensure solution continuity. Delivery Support & Knowledge Contribution · Support delivery teams during implementation ensuring adherence to approved architectures and Azure best practices. · Assist with resolving technical challenges under the guidance of Senior Architects. · Contribute to internal documentation, reference architectures, and technical standards. · Stay up to date with Azure platform updates, AI advancements, and Microsoft roadmap changes. · Apply security by design principles using Azure native security services including Microsoft Defender, Azure Security Center, Sentinel, and Azure Policy. · Support the design of Azure landing zones aligned with the Cloud Adoption Framework. · Ensure solution designs consider regulatory, compliance, and data protection requirements. Key Competencies · Solid technical knowledge across Azure infrastructure, platform, networking, and security services · Strong problem-solving and architectural thinking skills · Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders · Consultative mindset with customer centric approach · Strong documentation and diagramming skills · Team-oriented and collaborative working style Requirements · 3-5 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years focused on Microsoft Azure solutions · Experience designing and supporting Azure solutions in enterprise or mid-market environments · Handson experience with Azure services such as Virtual Machines, App Service, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, and Networking · Exposure to Azure AI services including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, or Azure Machine Learning · Understanding of hybrid cloud concepts including Azure Arc · Familiarity with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) · Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and basic security controls · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field Preferred Qualifications · Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate / Expert (AZ-104 / AZ-305) · Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) · Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions · Exposure to FinOps and Azure cost management practices
