About The Role

Global Investigations Review (GIR), a leading international news, analysis and data platform covering cross-border investigations into corporate wrongdoing, is seeking a junior reporter to join its US team. This is an entry-level position, open to candidates based in Washington, DC or New York. You’ll be part of a specialist reporting team covering white-collar enforcement, sanctions, export controls, anti-money laundering and anti-corruption developments. This is a fast-evolving beat shaped by intensifying geopolitical tensions, the expansion of sanctions and export control regimes, increased scrutiny of sanctions evasion networks (including through third-country intermediaries and digital assets), and heightened US enforcement priorities around corporate crime, national security and illicit finance. You will write for a global audience of investigations and compliance practitioners, including lawyers, regulators, in-house counsel and risk professionals. Your reporting will be driven by close analysis of court filings, regulatory disclosures and enforcement actions, as well as interviews with sources, public records requests and other original reporting techniques.
