Production Associate

Production Associate Summary of Job Content: Safely operate equipment and perform physical labor to manufacture porous carbon in accordance to defined SOP's and quality standards. Maintain a clean work environment. Perform any other duties, as required by the department supervisor or manager, to support department, plant and company objectives and/or goals. Learn and execute specific tasks with minimal supervision. Train new employees when required. Understand material grades and markings. Assist with inventory control through the proper sorting and segregation of materials. Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Understand and follow all company policies and procedures. Operate mobile and process equipment. Perform physical labor. Ascend and descend stairs and ladders; push, pull, lift, grasp, and pinch. Recognize and correct out of specification situations, and notify supervision. Correctly add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions into decimals. Effectively and efficiently perform autonomous maintenance on equipment as required. Accurately complete and interpret all required paperwork and process documentation. Know how and where to access operations manuals and specifications. Perform all work assignments in a safe and efficient manner and obey/follow all departmental and general company safety rules, policies and procedures. Demonstrate a high level of situational awareness, good housekeeping practices, and commitment to quality. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail Ability to prioritize and multi-task Team oriented but can work independently Proactive owner of processes Commitment to safety (i.e., high level of situational awareness) Commitment to quality (i.e., SGL Excellence) Self Motivated Quick learner Preferred Experience: 2-3 yrs industrial manufacturing environment Licensed fork-lift operator Routine Travel Requirement: 0% #CB1
