Firmware and Embedded Systems Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MTS-2 Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development and a passion for innovation. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain firmware for our cutting-edge products. Job Requirements • Design, develop, and maintain firmware for new and current NetApp products. • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration. • Perform debugging and troubleshooting to resolve issues. • Develop and execute Unit Tests, Built in Unit Test, and Functional Test for your code. • Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices to streamline development and deployment. • Participate in code and document reviews including validating AI generated code. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field. 1-2 years’ experience in firmware or embedded software development or test. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python. Experience with BIOS or Embedded Systems or BootLoaders Experience with debugging tools and techniques Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Agile and Scrum methodology. Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for: Code generation (C/C++, Python) Debugging and root cause analysis Writing unit tests and test automation Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
